Part-time Trainee Music Tutors
Are you a cool, rock or pop musician living in SE London or NW Kent? Got bags of enthusiasm and a real passion to pass on your skills to others?
If you're friendly, reliable, patient, and great with children and teenagers, we may have the ideal part-time job for you. No prior teaching experience is required as training is provided in our own methods.
We recognise that great musicians can take a wide range of educational routes and therefore no specific qualifications are required. However, applicants should have a high level of playing ability (approx Grade 6 to 8 equivalent in your principal instrument), an understanding of relevant theory, and be able to read notation relevant to your instrument (guitar tab, piano sheet music and/or drum notation). All will be assessed at informal interview.
For reliability purposes, applicants must live within 30 minutes commute of DA16 2PE.
Complete the application form and we'll be in touch to discuss any suitable vacancy.
Notes:
All tutors are required to undergo a DBS check to ensure suitability for working with children. By applying, you accept that this will be undertaken at the appropriate time.
Due to volume of applications, it may not be possible to reply to all applications but we may be in touch when future opportunities arise.
We are currently expanding our amazing tutor team, and opening our doors to local musicians and outstanding students (university/college/6th form) who are mad about music, to work as part-time tutors.
We'd love to hear from you if you meet the above criteria, play keyboard/piano, drums or guitar at approx grade 6 to 8 standard... AND have a wonderful personality!
You must be able to commit to working Saturdays until 2pm. No prior teaching experience is needed as we'll show you all you need to know to be amazing.
Closing date: 1st June 2025
PLEASE NOTE THAT EARLIEST APPLICATIONS WILL BE GIVEN PRIORITY AS THESE ARE IMMEDIATE VACANCIES
