Part-time Trainee Music Tutors
Are you a cool, young rock or pop musician and/or singer living in SE London or NW Kent? Got bags of enthusiasm and a real passion to pass on your skills to others?
If you're friendly, reliable, patient, and great with children and teenagers, we may have the ideal part-time job for you. No prior teaching experience is required as training is provided in our own methods.
We recognise that great musicians can take a wide range of educational routes and therefore no specific qualifications are required. However, applicants should have a high level of playing ability (approx Grade 7/8 equivalent in your principal instrument), good knowledge of relevant theory, and be able to read notation relevant to your instrument (guitar tab, piano sheet music and/or drum notation). All will be assessed at interview.
In the event of future local lockdown due to Covid-19 control, tutors may be required to teach from home using Zoom, with our full support and training.
For reliability purposes, applicants must live within 30 minutes commute of DA16 2PE.
Complete the application form and we'll be in touch to discuss any suitable vacancy.
All tutors are required to undergo a DBS check to ensure suitability for working with children. By applying, you accept that this will be undertaken at the appropriate time.
Due to volume of applications, it may not be possible to reply to all unsuccessful applications but we may be in touch for future opportunities.
We are currently expanding our tutor team and on the hunt for outstanding local students (6th form/college/university) who meet the above criteria to train as part-time tutors.
We'd love to hear from you if you play drums, electric guitar or keyboard/piano to approx grade 7 to 8 standard... AND have a wonderful personality! You must be able to commit to working Thursday evenings from 6pm and/or Saturdays until mid-afternoon.
CLOSING DATE: 31st JULY
Please note that early applications will be given priority as these are immediate vacancies.
